Thor is the Norse god of thunder and the son of Odin All-Father, ruler of Asgard. He wields the mystic hammer Mjolnir, which allows him to fly and fire bolts of lightning.
Thor was a founding member of the Avengers and frequently battles as one of their number. At times, Thor has used the secret identity of Donald Blake to walk among mortals, but he always returns to the halls of Asgard to hoist a tankard with his fellow gods.
The Thunder God and son of Odin, Thor, is a formidable warrior who commands thunder, lightning, and his mystical hammer Mjolnir to smite foes! Thor has a variety of damage dealing abilities that allow him to cut through swathes of enemies quickly - up close with Mjolnir, or at a distance by calling down the lightning!
Thor’s first Basic Power, Hammer Strike allows him to deliver justice to enemies in front of him via heavy swings with Mjolnir. Being a Basic Power, this power does not cost any Spirit and allows Thor to recharge Spirit between uses of his second power, Hammer Smash!
With Hammer Smash, Thor delivers a lightning-infused smash to the ground with Mjolnir, knocking down nearby enemies and spending Odinforce to knockback enemies as well. Unlike Hammer Strike, Hammer Smash costs spirit, so you’ll have to use it sparingly or you can find yourself surrounded. If you are surrounded, however, Thor’s secondary resource, Odinforce actually benefits!
Odinforce is Thor’s secondary resource, viewable as a bar featuring six "pips" (each counting 20 Odinforce). Odinforce increases as Thor is surrounded by enemies and can be spent by using different powers for bonus effects and damage (such as Hammer Smash’s knockback). Thor also begins with Asgardian Stamina, a passive ability that grants a bonus to health, physical defense, and energy defense!
Level 2: Thor’s next power, Call the Lightning, allows him to summon a quick and deadly lightning bolt from the heavens where an enemy stands. This lightning bolt has a 20% chance to stun at Rank 1 and can be used to quickly deal big damage to a small group of enemies. Knocking enemies back with Hammer Smash and then hitting them hard with Call the Lightning is a good way to deal with small groups of foes that may outmatch Thor, or Call the Lightning can be used to assist a party with ranged damage!
Level 3: If you’re looking to close the gap with an enemy or move quickly through a group, Thor’s Thunderous Charge is a fast way to travel either to an enemy, or through them! Thunderous Charge sends Thor charging through enemies with Mjolnir, dealing energy damage and spending Odinforce to knock foes down as it makes contact.
Level 4: If Thor needs to get close to his foes, Leaping Smite allows him to jump heroically through the air, landing a massive blow with Mjolnir. Leaping Smite can consume Spirit to stun foes, rendering them incapacitated so that Thor may follow up his advance with another powerful attack.
If you’re looking for a hero that excels at fighting massive groups of enemies, but can also take down large bosses in one-on-one combat, Thor is an excellent choice! The Mighty Asgardian warrior is able to dispatch hordes of enemies and excels when working with allies such as Captain America whose leadership abilities only make Thor more formidable!
